Palm kernel oil is a natural oil extracted from the seed of palm but not the fruit. Palm kernel oil, which is semi-solid at room temperature, is more saturated than palm oil and comparable to coconut oil.Over 80 percent of the fat in palm kernel oil is saturated fat but only about 50 percent of that in palm oil. Palm kernel oil is packed with myristic and lauric fatty acids and therefore suitable for the manufacture of soaps, washing powders and personal care products.
